1.What about Ancient Greek culture & values is reflected in their beliefs towards the underworld?
Ancient Greek cultures and values is reflected to there beliefs because they both believe that the under world had certain spots for those whom die. where certain people go is based on there decisions in life.
2. Do you recognize any similarities between the Greek's beliefs towards death and the underworld and those which are held in your own religion?
I recognize that there are certain places for people in the under world for those who do good, those who do bad,those who mourn,and for those who grieve. this based on my religion is quite different because I believe in a heaven and a hell, I believe that good is good and bad is bad.
3.The Journey of the soul is described to be an elaborate process, why do you think that is? Why can't it be more simple?
I believe this is because while there is a heaven and there is a hell you are kind of on a waiting list determining whether or not you will be entering heaven our or hell.
4. Looking back (to The Epic of Gilgamesh) this will be the 2nd text in which the protagonist journey to the underworld to confront death, why do you the hero "needs" to visit the underworld?
Because if I really was the "hero" i would like to confront death because I would definitely have lots of questions. For example "why do we die is it because its in the nature of life where we go from dust to ashes.
